CAS is celebrating Women's History Month and reflecting on the honor of participating in the advancement of women's education and gender equality. This month, we set aside time to recognize the progress that has been made over the course of generations of women, as well as the effort required to build a society where everyone has equal social, professional, and academic opportunity.
CAS offers resources that can assist in building, refining, and advancement of programs and services to benefit those who may be marginalized because of their gender or sexual orientation. These resources aim to contribute to student learning, development, and success. They include,
-
Women's and Gender Programs and Services (Standards, Self-Assessment Guide, and Functional Resource Paper)
-
LGBTQ+ Programs and Services (Standards and Self-Assessment Guide)
Additionally, fraternities and sororities on campus wield unique influence in fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment. Use CAS standards to ensure your institution is properly supporting fraternities and sororities in creating a healthy campus culture.
-
Fraternity and Sorority Advising Programs (Standards, Self-Assessment Guide, and Functional Area Resource Paper)
Furthermore, CAS pauses to appreciate the women who have contributed significant time, knowledge, and professionalism to higher education, especially those who have served on the CAS Council over the last four decades. Your influence and inspiration is invaluable, and we are grateful for you.
