During this 40th anniversary year of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS), the 10th Edition of the CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education includes significant and timely changes. A brief sneak peak of the changes includes alignment with guiding principles, reorganization of the parts, and a new section. During this webinar, we will provide a brief overview of CAS, discuss the updates, and review the many uses of CAS. The Institute on Cross Campus Collaboration for
The First-Year Experience‚Äč


November 4-6, 2019

 

CAS is excited to partner with the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition in the upcoming Institute on Cross Campus Collaboration for the First-Year Experience. Participants can register online at: FYE Institute Registration. Registration includes a copy of the Cross Functional Framework for FYE downloadable PDF.

As a result of participating in the Institute on Cross-Campus Collaboration for The First-Year Experience, attendees will:
- Create plans for securing institutional and administrative support for a comprehensive and campus-wide approach to the first year
- Articulate strategies for how to work across institutional departments to support first-year student success
- Utilize a framework for best practices in cross-campus collaboration based on and informed by research and scholarly practice and created by an international leader in professional standards development, the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS)
- Engage with national experts and other institute participants to identify opportunities and challenges for achieving a campus-wide approach to meeting first-year objectives
