From the community of experts shaping our standards to the educators and practitioners implementing them to improve student outcomes, we are thankful for the collective dedication that drives meaningful change across campuses. Honoring Native American Heritage Month: Empowering Indigenous Communities in Higher Education11/13/2024 This November, the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) celebrates Native American Heritage Month by recognizing the vital contributions of Native American and Indigenous communities to higher education. Native students, faculty, and staff enrich our campuses with their diverse identities, histories, and traditions, inspiring efforts to build inclusive, equitable learning environments.
On October 24, 2024, more than 300 student affairs professionals joined an impactful webinar on leveraging the new CAS Basic Needs Standards to better support students on their campuses. Co-hosted by The Hope Center for Student Basic Needs and the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS), the event highlighted essential strategies and tools for addressing basic needs insecurities in higher education.
