As we enter January, CAS invites student affairs professionals to begin the new year with reflection, intention, and renewed commitment to student well-being, equity, and learning. January’s observances highlight the interconnected nature of mental health, safety, education, and civic responsibility across campus communities. By engaging these moments thoughtfully and using the CAS Standards as a guide, professionals can ground their efforts in continuous assessment and purposeful action, supporting holistic student development while fostering inclusive, supportive, and academically enriching environments.

Her dedication, expertise, and unwavering support have strengthened CAS and advanced its work across the higher education community. In recognition of her remarkable service and deep commitment, CAS formally presents the following proclamation.
The Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) is the organization that honor societies join when they seek certification by a neutral body and collaboration with peers to uphold the highest standards of excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and research. Founded in 1925, ACHS is the only certifying agency for college and university honor societies. It establishes standards for organizational excellence, scholastic eligibility, and governance practices, ensuring that academic recognition remains meaningful and aligned with institutional values.
