CAS is thrilled to celebrate Kristi Mindrup’s journey from her nine-year tenure with the Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) to her appointment as the new President of Western Illinois University. Kristi has made significant strides in higher education, demonstrating the value of a student affairs professional in leadership positions. Her background includes serving as Co-Director of the National Clearinghouse for Commuter Programs from 2012 to 2021, where she became a recognized expert in Post-Traditional and Commuter Student Programs and Services. Through her leadership in creating impactful standards for commuter and post-traditional student services, she has made an indelible mark on the field. Her ascent to the presidency of a major university is a testament to student affairs professionals who understand the intricacies of student needs and have the vision to shape the future of higher education. We congratulate Kristi on this incredible achievement and look forward to seeing how she will continue to shape the future of higher education!
