As CAS continues to celebrate 45 years of raising standards, we commemorate the organization's evolution and growth through recognition of the 10 Past Presidents who guided the Council along the way. This month, we honor CAS's fourth President, Jan Arminio.

The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) has released new resources for Basic Needs Programs and Services Standards and Self-Assessment Guide (SAG).
In celebration of CAS’s diamond anniversary (1979 - 2024), we have embarked on an exciting series which aims to honor the higher education professionals who led the organization in the role of President up to this point. These ten leaders laid a foundation that has allowed CAS to “Stand & Guide” for 45 years.
As the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) celebrates 45 years of raising standards, we are compelled to give credit and appreciation where it is due. CAS has been extremely fortunate to benefit from the vision, persistence, and passion of 11 dedicated Presidents. Over the course of this anniversary year, CAS will highlight and commemorate the leadership of our 10 Past Presidents through a series of blog posts, video interviews, and social media throwbacks. As we begin this special series, we first honor the legacy of those who laid the foundation for our outstanding organization.
