Newly Released CAS Resource: "Functional Areas in Context: The Collection of CAS Contextual Statements”
Earlier this month, the council met in Alexandria, Virginia and announced the release of a new resource available to CAS users. This product is titled Functional Areas in Context: The Collection of CAS Contextual Statements, and is now available in both PDF and ePub formats in the CAS store.
While many people celebrate the United States version of Thanksgiving, to many it is not a reason to celebrate.
According to Tonya Mosley and Allison Hagan, in a story from November 25, 2020, “The so-called first Thanksgiving has been celebrated and taught to schoolchildren as the origin story of what would later become the United States. But many Native Americans say Thanksgiving Day is a reminder of the slaughter of millions of Indigenous people and the theft of their lands by outsiders.”
In an exciting development, two prominent organizations in the higher education space, The Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) and Student Affairs Assessment Leaders (SAAL) have joined together to enhance the landscape of higher education through collaboration and shared resources.
