CAS Congratulates Ray Plaza on Recent ACPA Election

Congratulations to Ray Plaza on his recent election to the position of ACPA Director of External Relations. Ray serves on the CAS Governing Board as Member-at-Large for Standards.

CAS is delighted to congratulate Ray Plaza on his recent election to the position of ACPA Director of External Relations. Ray, along with ACPA's other newly elected leaders, will be celebrated and recognized at the ACPA Annual Convention on March 26-29, 2023.

Ray currently serves as Director of the Office for Diversity and Inclusion at Santa Clara University. In this position, Ray plays a key role in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and works with the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and colleagues within the Inclusive Excellence Division. He has been at SCU since July 2015.

Ray also serves on CAS's Governing Board as Member-at-Large for Standards. In this position, he oversees CAS's development of standards and the important work of the Standards Management Committee. His involvement with CAS also includes his role as ACPA representative on the CAS council.

Ray previously served as the Associate Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Bowling Green State University in addition to having spent fifteen years at Virginia Tech working in student affairs, multicultural affairs and academic affairs.
