CAS shares gratitude with Ralph Johnson, Ph.D. for his commitment to the organization for the 2021-2023 term. Colleagues and members of the organization shares testimonials of Ralph’s time as CAS President, his integrity, and his spirit. Ralph Johnson, Ph.D. currently leads CAS as the organization's President. After his term concludes September 1, 2023, he will serve as Immediate Past President for the following year. CAS wishes to honor Dr. Johnson for his time and achievements as CAS President.
Dr. Johnson previously stated, "Being on the CAS board has allowed me to help shape the standards of operation to indicate a quality program for the 44 functional areas for which we have a set of standards." Creating a legacy within CAS, Dr. Johnson is CAS's first African American President, and was the organization's first African American officer when he was elected as Treasurer in 2014. With a professional background in Student Affairs and masters and doctoral work in higher education, Dr. Johnson acts as the Vice President for the Center for Student Life at Washington Adventist University, continually working for the success of each and every WAU student. As Dr. Johnson’s term comes to a close, we would like to share thoughts of some of his colleagues that echo our gratitude and appreciation for his time with CAS. “For over 30 years Ralph has provided leadership to the SACSA organization. We are so proud of him and his representation of our organization, particularly with CAS. No one is more committed to a life of serving others than Ralph. He is a highly respected mentor, role model and friend to so many. He is generous in sharing his time and talents with others to make them better. Our profession is better due to Ralph and his numerous contributions.” CAS is forever grateful to Ralph and wishes him the best in his future endeavors!
