​The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is pleased to announce the recent release of version 11.1 of the iconic CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education. 

The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is pleased to announce the recent release of version 11.1 of the iconic CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education. The 11th version of CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education was released in May 2023. This book is the defining source of professional standards for many of the programs and services provided to students in higher education. Version 11.1 includes the new Campus Stores Standards and updates to Collegiate Recreation and Learning Assistance Programs. The General Standards were updated in Version 11.0 (April 2023).

CAS Professional Standards for Higher Education (also known as the "Blue Book") provides an introduction to CAS, its mission, initiatives, and the principles upon which it was founded. Individual functional area standards are accompanied by introductory contextual statements, along with the CAS Learning and Development Outcomes, the CAS Characteristics of Individual Excellence, and the CAS Statement of Shared Ethical Principles.
