AFA recognizes the contributions of CAS' longest serving Director, Dr. Douglas K. Lange, with a scholarship in his name. Dean of Students at the Art Institute of Tennessee - Nashville and long-time CAS Secretary Doug Lange was recently recognized at the Annual Meeting for the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) for his years of dedication and service with AFA. After representing the AFA for 34 years on the Council for Advancement of Standards in Higher Education board, Dr. Lange is retiring in 2015 from his position with CAS. In addition, Doug served AFA in numerous ways including as President. AFA also announced the creation of the Douglas K. Lange Council for the Advancement of Standards Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a campus-based professional and AFA member, who has executed an assessment program as part of their professional responsibilities. Scholarship will include a single, professional registration to the AFA Annual Meeting. The first scholarship selection process will be held summer 2015.
