CAS Welcomes Incoming Editors

CAS welcomes both Dr. Léna Crain and Dr. Kellie Dixon as CAS Editors.

Dr. Kellie M. Dixon is a higher education administrator and faculty member. In addition, she serves as the founder and principal consultant at Clear Pathway Consulting Services, LLC. Dr. Dixon is a certified life coach and Core Strengths facilitator. A known student affairs practitioner and respected expert on assessment, with an equity-centered approach, Dr. Dixon is a disruptive scholar towards positive change. Her areas of practice include: assessment, leadership development, program review, strategic planning and team effectiveness. Dr. Dixon received an associate's degree (AS) in science from Danville Community College, a bachelor's degree (BS) in kinesiology from Longwood University, a masters degree (MS) in community and college counseling from Longwood University, and doctorate (EdD) in organizational leadership from Grand Canyon University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and a native of Vernon Hill, Virginia. She is affectionately known as, Dr. K!

Dr. Léna Crain serves as Associate Dean of Students at Bucknell University, where she provides leadership for student wellness-related programs and services. Dr. Crain's research focuses on transitions, especially intercultural and cross-border transitions, conflict resolution, and professional socialization. Dr. Crain has authored more than fifty presentations and publications. Since 2011, she has also served as the Director and Principal Investigator for the National Study of the Student Affairs Job Search. Through this study, she has demystified and advanced understanding of hiring practices in student affairs and has presented to more than 200 graduate classrooms about data-informed job search strategies.
