Gayle Spencer, PhD shares her first message as president to CAS users. Colleagues,
It is my honor to begin my term as the 11th President of the Council of the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS). As I begin a two-year term as President, please know that CAS will be scanning the environment for all things that may impact our ability to assess our programs and services, while still ensuring we are providing all students the education experiences they deserve. These tumultuous times also call for us all to assist and provide support to our colleagues in states where legislatures are trying to limit efforts around diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging on college campuses. As we enter another academic year, realizing all that COVID-19 has taken, particularly from our students let’s make an extraordinary effort to make sure we are providing the best programs and services we can for students, remembering to use all the exceptional products CAS offers to assess our efforts. Stay tuned for our new and improved website. You are going to love it! If you ever want to discuss anything related to CAS, please email me at [email protected]. Sincerely, Gayle Spencer, Ph.D. CAS President
